Hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas! We lost power from a massive ice storm, so keeping warm was definitely a priority. I’m getting a little sick, but I refuse to miss another New Year’s Eve. One year I was down with the flu and it was horrible being alone and sick in the house while everyone was out.
I’m wearing a Little Black Dress for New Year’s Eve. Everyone’s got their favourite LBD – mine is this one by 59 Seconds from YesStyle.ca
My workplace was having a party where we were supposed to wear ugly holiday sweaters. Some people showed up with ugly non-holiday sweaters, some with non-ugly holiday sweaters. I saw this sweater on YesStyle and thought that sweater was wintery enough to be a holiday sweater.
It’s been below 0°C (or 32°F for all you other folks) all day today and I always have trouble dressing for cold weather. I usually end up in my skinny Bootlegger jeans and a t-shirt under a nice warm hoodie. I’m clearly deviating from the norm today. There’s no natural light today and I have no place in the house suitable for a photo shoot. So, I apologize in advance for my distracting Pokemon poster (yes, I did line up and watch the movie in theatres back in ’99 and got some exclusive Pokemon cards out of it).
I’ve always thought that having one blush was good enough – when you find the perfect colour for your complexion, you shouldn’t need another, right? It would just look weird… right? Here are the two blushes I own and have tried: theBalm’s Hot Mama! and PANDORA’S Makeup Box blush in St. Tropez.
I’d left this FITI iron at Dark’s place because I already had my Solia hair straightener (featured here) at home, and it’s always nice to have a straightener for those bad hair day emergencies.
Back in October, I made a post commending my friend angelandthings for hauling makeup for us from the US. I got everything back in January, but have barely started using any of it yet! I am obsessed with getting eye makeup especially, but hardly ever wear makeup on a daily basis. And while the variety is lovely to have, I find myself sticking to the same few products for a neutral look, just because I’m too lazy to get something new or I’m not adventurous enough to wear vibrant colours without an occasion.
Here is the Sephora haul:
