Review: Bags Part 2 of 2

I ordered 4 bags at a time from back in September 2012 and did a post on the casual bags in Part 1 here. I also purchased two bags which were a little more formal.

I put on a dress from 59th Street that I also ordered from YesStyle for $20 CAD to match these bags. I haven’t worn it in public yet because it seems too formal for casual dates yet too casual for formal ones. I’m not sure when and where I can wear this!

Swatch and Review: Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara in Purple and Blue

I had never tried coloured mascaras because I didn’t see the point. Most mascaras only come in black with some brands offering brown as an alternative. Being Asian with black hair, I figured the most natural way to go would be black mascara anyway. So what prompted me to buy a purple and a blue mascara?

Swatch and Review: Joe Fresh Lip Tint in Ruby

I picked up this Joe Fresh lip tint a while ago and I believe it was $6 CAD. I have never used lip tints before and thought this would be fun to try, especially at that price.

OOTD and FOTD: Not-So-Ugly Holiday Sweater Party

My workplace was having a party where we were supposed to wear ugly holiday sweaters. Some people showed up with ugly non-holiday sweaters, some with non-ugly holiday sweaters. I saw this sweater on YesStyle and thought that sweater was wintery enough to be a holiday sweater.

Review: Bags Part 1 of 2

I wrote a review for two years ago when I first ordered off the website because I couldn’t find any reviews commenting on how trustworthy it was. Since then, I’ve made quite a few orders and I dug up some pictures I had taken of a bag haul from YesStyle from last year. I got 4 in total: 2 bags that were more casual and 2 that were more sophisticated.

This post will focus on the two casual bags that I bought from

Black Friday shopping has started on!

Sephora has started its Black Friday deals already, for all you online shoppers! I just made a few purchases at $12 CAD each:

Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow Duo ($48 CAD value)

BareMinerals Enchanting Eyes ($39 CAD value)

Stila Artful Eye Collector’s Edition Vol. II ($70 CAD value)

I am a VIB Rouge so I get free shipping on all orders without a minimum purchase requirement (yes, this does mean I have a shopping sickness). I just paid $36 CAD for goodies worth $157 CAD. What a steal!

PMall Haul and Review: The Face Shop, Holika Holika, and TonyMoly

Last week I went to Pacific Mall, an Asian mall in Toronto that sells a lot of Asian merchandise that you can’t quite find anywhere else in the city. Because it’s a very high-traffic mall, I generally don’t like to go there very often. But of course, that was before I learned that they opened several Korean beauty brand retail stores. I went on a little morning shopping spree before the masses started swarming in the area for some delicious Asian food.

I had already known that there was a Holika Holika store at Pacific Mall for a few years now because I had bought a BB cream there, but when I learned that The Face Shop and TonyMoly had opened as well, I just had to go take a look. I was looking for a new cleanser and moisturizer anyway.

Asian Supermarket Beauty Finds: Ichikami Moisturizing Hair Care

I know I said I’d update my old blog posts first, but it’s taking much longer than I thought it would. So I’m going to cheat a little and talk about this instead because I am excited to use my new shampoo tonight!

I have used Pantene Pro-V since elementary school and had always come back to the brand. I haven’t been enjoying the newer formulation and packaging. Since I just ran out of shampoo, my friend angelandthings recommended the Shiseido Tsubaki Damage Care Shampoo.

It seems that Asian beauty products have been slowly moving their way into Canada, as I found lots of Asian products at my local T&T Supermarket. They even had skincare and BB cream for sale. Unfortunately, the Shiseido Tsubaki Damage Care Shampoo was all sold out at T&T. I guess that’s a testament to its popularity. It costs $18.89 CAD. There was ONE lonely bottle of the conditioner left…
