NOTD: My Favourite Polish Combo with Zoya and Essie

There’s nothing quite like a neutral with a touch of sparkle and a pop of colour. This combination works great for outfits, but I love it on my nails, too!

I am wearing Zoya nail polish in Farah. I like that it is a neutral, natural shade yet just bold enough to be noticed at a glance.

I love Zoya polishes in general, and this one is no exception. Zoya polishes last at least a week on my nails with minimal chipping. Zoya polishes were the first to be free of the 5 toxic ingredients toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and DBP (dibutyl phthalate).

Essie’s A Cut Above is a gorgeous top coat and with circular glitter that come in several different sizes. The best thing about this top coat is that I always get a different effect each time because the glitter spreads randomly. Of course, it is also very eye-catching and prompts a second look.

I had seen the Zoya’s Farah polish on sale at the mall, but I had hesitated on getting it because I had never tried Zoya polishes before. I then spent the next week lamenting over not purchasing it while I had the chance. My good friend angelandthings ended up grabbing one for me and surprised me with it a month later! Essie’s A Cut Above is my favourite glitter top coat, also from angelandthings.

I generally don’t like glitter polish because they’re infinitely more difficult to remove than just polish alone (yes, I am very impatient). But I suppose glitter on one accent nail isn’t too much for me to deal with. After all, this is by far my favourite nail polish combination!

What colours do you like using on your nails? Do you have a go-to staple?

  1. I love glitter on my nails. Like you said, it is a pain to take it off, but then glamour hurts doesn’t it 😛

  2. I have a cut above too! It’s so nice over everything but I agree, such a pain to remove!!! I’ve used it over cobalt blue polish once; it’s floating somewhere on my blog haha

  3. Ohh I never thought of combining those two! Gotta try it next time 🙂

  4. Thats a great neutral color! I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award! 🙂
