Another Sephora haul?! Too Faced and Buxom

I just couldn’t resist. I have no self control 😦

Just got this in the mail yesterday (since it’s past midnight now). Last week had been really rough, and this was supposed to be my Valentine’s Day present to myself. Alright fine, that’s an excuse. It really was just because these were much too tempting not to get:

  1. Too Faced Natural Flirt Makeup Collection – online only
  2. Buxom Flirt Alert – A Stunning Sultry Eye Duo

Actually, I had wanted to get Buxom’s Hot Ticket set instead of the Flirt Alert duo. I would have gotten the full-sized mascara, which I actually really like, as well as the stay-there eyeshadow in Beagle, a nice lilac colour. The liner would have been smaller, but I don’t have much faith in liners anyway, as I have yet to find a single one that actually doesn’t budge on my eyes.

If you can believe it, I had the Too Faced set and the Hot Ticket set in my shopping cart for a few days. Just as it was processing my credit card, they said Hot Ticket was out of stock.

… well darn. That was upsetting. So I settled for the Flirt Alert duo and my order was processed.

And then not even a full day after, Hot Ticket was back in stock. And is still in stock now.

… damn it, Sephora!

I’m still lusting after Hot Ticket. But there are no more in stores and if I order online, I need to make a purchase of $75.00 CAD before I get free shipping. My bank account is already protesting my recent splurges. (But why do I get the feeling that I will succumb anyway?)

Anyway, the Too Faced Natural Flirt collection was way too cute to pass up on. Pink products and bows everywhere! How can this not scream “buy me now”?

Left to right:

  1. pink makeup bag with black ribbons
  2. Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer
  3. Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow in Magic Mushroom
  4. Petite Pouf Brush
  5. Glamour Gloss in This is Pretty!
  6. LashGasm mascara
  7. Shadow Insurance in Candlelight

I feel like I need to feature the petite pouf brush again on its own because I have a guilty confession to make: this was more than half the reason I wanted this set.

It is itty bitty. And pink. And soft. And it has a cute little bowtie on it. And it makes up for me not getting the 3 piece shadow brushes I’d wanted on my last online Sephora haul. So there.

Here is Buxom’s Flirt Alert duo:

It includes:

  1. Stay-there Eyeshadow in Pug (
  2. Insider Eyeliner in Onyx (jet black)

As I said, I don’t have much faith in eyeliners, especially the pencil/powder types. This is only because ALL eye makeup smudges on me.  So I”m really not overly excited about this set, it was really just to bring my total up so I could get free shipping. I might end up returning this, we’ll see. Although I do like the shadow, it’s a smoky pewter. It was the reason that this duo caught my eye at all –  I can see myself making this work.

I have way too much makeup. I don’t think I’m ever going to run out. I don’t think I’ve even opened everything yet. I definitely haven’t even opened anything yet.

  1. Love that bronzer, so cool! The the brush is totally cool!

  2. Thanks for posting your haul…now I feel like I need to go place another order online. Perhaps I should wait for my MAC, Makeup Geek and my Konad Nail Art orders to come in first……………………
    *sigh*

    • Hahaha that’s what we’re all here for – to make each other want to buy more stuff 😉 What kinds of things can you order from Makeup Geek? Is that a website?

I almost caved to get crackle nail polish yesterday after I’d seen your posts, but I figured I’d better wait until I have secured a summer job…

  3. Literally, my two favorite brands at Sephora 🙂 And I have a problem with eyeliner too, I finally had to bite the bullet and learn how to perfect liquid eyeliner cuz it’s he only thing that’ll stay.

  4. Pug looks like a gorgeous color! I’ve heard good things about these, but sadly enough I have no access to the brand here. Ah oh well, maybe one day 🙂

    • There aren’t any Sephoras in Belgium? According to your profile that’s where you are, right?

      • Yup I’m in Belgium and nope, there’s noooo Sephora here! There are a lot of things we don’t have here lol

      • I’m sure that you guys have lots of things that we don’t though, right?

      • We have pharmaceutical brands at a reasonable price, and some drugstore brands that you can’t find in North America. But in general, grass is REALLY greener on your side!

      • Do they perform well though? If they do then that’s even better than pricey high-end brands lol

I would say HK has the greenest grass, with their low prices, lack of tax, and high performance. Except I don’t think I’ve ever seen grass in HK – just concrete and high-rise buildlings haha

      • By pharmaceutical brands I meant skincare products like Caudalie, La Roche Posay, and Vichy. Drugstore brands like GOSH, Catrice, and Bourjois are pretty good too!

I have a friend who went to HK for work and told me SOME brands are cheaper than what they are in Taiwan (where I’m from), but most don’t really make a difference. I went to HK once as a kid. It was fun but slightly claustrophobic lol

      • To be honest, I can’t stand the heat/smog/stuffiness/pollution. Guess I’m best off here in Canada, after all!

  5. The shadow looks pretty. Please do a swatch if you decide to keep it!
I hate feeling forced to buy something else because I’m a few dollars short of the free shipping. LOL

    • Yeah, I feel the same way… Yet I still get suckered into buying enough for the shipping limit – and usually I go way over! Then I spend an hour combing the site for something that will juuuuust fit the bill haha

  6. If you want an eyeliner that just won’t budge try the Gosh liquid liners they come in a good variety of colors and they definitely won’t go anywhere after they have dried. Only down side to them is they do take a while to dry fully.
