Sketchbook header for the notepad

Looking through my sketchbook for suitable header material, I came across these sketches I did last year when I was stressed and wanted to take a short break. Putting up this header makes me reminiscent about pastels and acrylics, sketchbooks and canvases . Makes me want to pick up a pencil and start sketching right now, but alas, I have procrastinated the day away as it is…

Here’s the rest of the page of my experiments – it was my first time picking up a pencil in a while… and I haven’t picked one up since then 😦

Jimmy Choo, I choose you!

So last month, angelandthings was showing me all the Louboutin pumps she wanted. For some reason, that got me browsing for Jimmy Choo`s and I fell in LOVE with these cute Morse flats in snake print:

I so want a pair, but definitely do not have the funds for such high-end brands 😦 And I can justify angelandthings` pricey pumps more than I can justify my pricey flats…

But they are just so darn cute!

Perhaps it will be my present to myself for some high achievement.Providing that it is actually in stock in Canada when I am ready to buy…

In the midst of my mad search for a reputable BB cream distributor, this popped up as one of the few websites that seemed legitimate. I was hesitant to make an online purchase off a website without any quality assurances, but my attempts at googling reviews for this website were to no avail. So, I resorted to searching up on YouTube to see if there were any video reviews. It seemed that there were a few YouTubers who did make purchases off The BB Cream Shop, so with baited breath, I took a chance and made a reasonably large order on October 7th.

I ordered 4 BB creams: BRTC’s Jasmine Water BB Cream and Blemish Recover Balm BB Cream, Etude House’s Magic BB Cream Moist (for dry skin), and Hanskin’s Super Magic BB Cream.

I received the BRTC and Hanskin BB creams on October 21st, a mere two weeks later. Realizing that there were only 3/4 of the BB creams I ordered, I panicked slightly and emailed the contact on the site. I received a response within a day, despite it being a weekend, assuring me that the fourth is on its way. They were shipped separately due to different providers for the stock. Lo and behold, I received the Etude House BB cream on Monday, the 24th. All products were received seemingly in original packaging and in good condition within bubble wrap. supplies the following brands: BRTC, Dr. Jart, Etude House, Hanskin, Lioele, Medibeau, Missha, Skin79, and Skinfood. They also offer free shipping (yes, free international shipping) for orders over $100USD. You can select from 5 different currencies: USD, CAD, AUD, Pounds, and Euros. The prices shown on the website will be approximate, with an up-to-date currency conversion from USD at checkout. Payment is done via PayPal, which for those of you who don’t know, you do not have to register an account for in order to use. Questions you leave on their website through their Contact Us page receive prompt replies.

All in all, shopping on was a favourable experience. It is definitely worth the purchase if you are ordering enough for free shipping, as the prices offered are lower than ones I have been able to find in person in Canada. Some products offered are cheaper than on YesStyle, but some are more expensive. So if you enjoy shopping for lots of things at lower prices, make sure you compare between websites!

BB cream reviews will follow when I have used them enough 🙂
