GWP’s at Sephora and The Bay

Unlike many, I did not get out of bed this morning for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. What got me out of bed was seeing an email from Sephora indicating that there was an exclusive VIB Bare  Escentuals gift with a purchase of $25 CAD at Sephora. It was a beautiful day with beautiful weather, putting me in good spirits for a trip to the mall!

I had only intended to spend the $25 in order to get my GWP. I picked up Fairy Drops’ Scandal Queen mascara, which I’d heard great things about and have wanted for a while. On my way out, I passed by Buxom and checked out their cream shadows. I’ve been waiting for Spring to spring for a month. Lately, the weather has been a huge tease – looking bright and sunny with a fresh breeze in the morning, then following with cloudy skies, a biting wind, and snow in the afternoon. Then I have to drag on my winter boots again and clomp through the slush. Ick.

Shiseido Aqualabel Deep Clear Oil Cleansing (Whitening) Review

This was the first thing I opened when I received my first YesStyle purchase (site review here), and have been dying to review it ever since. I find the packaging simple and sleek, and its description certainly seemed promising.

The product description says :

A light, cleansing oil designed to deep cleanse skin, removing all traces of dirt, sebum and makeup without stinging eyes or irritating skin. Added moisturizers help skin remain optimally hydrated, improving skin elasticity without causing an uncomfortable tight feeling. yesstyle.ca Review

I first found out about YesStyle when I was browsing the internet for BB creams  a month ago. One of the searches popped YesStyle’s inventory up. Apparently YesStyle is a pretty popular website for ordering things online, especially from Asia. Their product list includes everything from clothes and shoes to makeup and skincare, complete with accessories and sections for men as well. The brands are sourced from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, to name a few.

So why are there no reviews on its credibility?!

I was looking for reviews on YesStyle and whether or not it was reputable enough to trust, as I am always hesitant about making purchases online. To my surprise, despite its apparent popularity, there were no reviews generated by the search engine! I had to resort to searching up “yesstyle.com” on YouTube, which generated videos of people showing off their hauls. So I supposed that lent credibility to the website.

So I set my jaw and placed an order on Friday, October 7th. All the items in my basket were labeled as ready for shipping in 1-2 days. Lo and behold, the order was shipped out on October 11th, the Tuesday after a long weekend. I was surprised that I received my order just over a week later on Thursday, October 20th.
